This will require maintaining the standards and integrity of products by conducting precise testing and ensuring compliance with requirements. This role offers the opportunity to develop high-quality, industry-relevant skills through hands-on experience and mentorship.Preferred work hours will be 11am-7pm Monday - Friday.Essential Functions:Perform testing as directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures.Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before releasing to production.Operate shop machinery such as plasma torch, vertical machining center, and tensile tester.Maintain the company's calibration systemResponsible for maintaining ISO 9001 quality management system complianceConduct routine quality inspections throughout the production processGenerating weekly quality reportsQualifications:Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office SuiteBasic knowledge of quality assurance principles and practicesFamiliarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipersAbility to problem solve and work independentlyAbility to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracyManufacturing or machine shop experience preferredWhy Work for Olympic Steel:Olympic Steel offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision benefits; paid holidays and vacation; a 401(k) match; tuition reimbursement; and various opportunities to earn cash bonuses.
