Job Title: Floor Assembler - P&P 1 Location: Hoffman Estates, IL Duration: 12 months contract/Temp with possibility of extension Shift Details: 6:00AM-2:30PM Monday to Friday work overtime intermittently (e.g., workdays or Saturdays) Pay: $ 20/hr Job Description: Assemble Imaging system and assemblies following documented work instructions (e.g. routings, assembly drawings, and test procedures). Execute duties in compliance with regulatory agencies. Use test equipment and tools required to fulfil ll assignments. Recognize, report, troubleshoot and repair product and process non-conformances. Assure completion of system or sub-assembly in a timely manner. This position is in the Manufacturing group in Hoff man Estates, Illinois reporting to Gerald Williams. Responsibilities of this position are: 1. Assemble and test mechanical assemblies used in medical imaging systems. 2. Use written procedures and mechanical drawings as needed. 3. Gather information and enter it into internal computer systems. 4. Use tools and test equipment provided (e.g., hand tools, torque wrenches). Required skills or experience: 1. Ability to learn and apply new technical skills. 2. Ability to read and follow procedures. 3. Ability to accurately log data into computer systems or onto paper. 4. Ability to work in a team setting. 5. Ability to occasionally lift 50lbs. 6. Must be able to work 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Preferred skills or experience: 1. Working knowledge of hand tools (e.g., mechanical or electrical torque wrenches, screw guns). 2. Ability to read technical drawings (e.g., mechanical assembly, wiring diagrams). 3. Ability to work 1st shift. 4. Ability to work overtime intermittently (e.g., workdays or Saturdays). 5. Work experience in a technical field. General Requirements: Job Family Responsibilities: Supports semi-complex manufacturing related studies and processes. Gathers and records semi-complex production information; enters data into internal computer systems. Participates in semi-complex repairing and retesting for product and/or manufacturing facilities. Helps develop estimates of requirements arising from process changes. Resolves semi-complex manufacturing or maintenance related problems affecting daily operations. May participate in technical problem solving/troubleshooting support to a manufacturing environment. Participates in troubleshooting for machine operations to determine parameters for improving efficiency in a production environment. Education: HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certifi cation may be required. Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrates comprehensive working knowledge of a technical or specialty area, and of operations, methods, and practices. Comprehensive working knowledge of hand tools and torque wrenches required.
