MBS AssociateOur client, a prominent alternatives firm in Midtown, Manhattan is looking for a candidate with MBS experience to join their team.The ideal candidate will have 3-7 yrs. of financial services experience with strong technical skills.ResponsibilitiesLiaise with the Trading Desk to manage the firm's liquidity requirementsProvide support for the entire lifecycle all products traded including MBS, Treasuries derivatives, repos, etc.Forecast daily cash positions and provide funding projections to business lines and senior managementIdentify and resolve breaks, reconciling the firm's positions across custodians and internal systemsManage the firm's daily exposure across product types, review and respond to margin callsAssist with the clearing and settlement of Mortgage-Backed Securities and other asset classesProduce daily, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting for senior managementQualifications3-7 years of relevant experience in Real Estate, Investment Management, Fund Administration, Investment Banking, etc.Bachelor's Degree requiredProduct knowledge in Mortgage-Backed Securities (Agency, Non-Agency, CMOs, IOs, POs, etc.), TBAs, Treasuries, Derivatives (Interest Rate Swaps, swaptions, options, CDS, etc.)Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skillsPython and SQL skills highly desirable but not required.Qualified candidates will be contacted within two business days of application.
