Data Engineer

GENERAL SUMMARY:The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. The role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of our data systems, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.Essential ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines using SQL and Python to connect operational systems and third-party APIs and power analytics used daily by Operations, Finance, and Executive LeadershipIngest data from SQL databases, third-party APIs, and structured file sources (SFTP, CSV/Excel)Help establish and maintain a centralized analytics data modelPartner with business stakeholders to develop Tableau dashboardsImplement data quality checks, logging, monitoring, and alertingCollaborate with business stakeholders to translate workflows into robust data productsContribute to version control, deployment, and data engineering standards (Git, environments)Optimize SQL queries, views, and table structures for analytics performance and incremental loadsMaintain documentation for pipelines, datasets, schemas, and reports/dashboardsAssist with access control, governance, and data security best practicesTroubleshoot refresh failures and performance bottlenecks across the data stackPerform other duties as assignedJob SpecificationEducation: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics EngineerStrong SQL skills (complex joins, CTEs, window functions, performance tuning)Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, keys, SCD basics)Hands-on Python experience for data processing (pandas, standard libraries)Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Postgres, or similar)Experience with Snowflake, DatabricksExperience building and maintaining production data pipelinesExperience with Tableau, SalesforceKnowledge of Massachusetts Senior Care Options (SCO) program a plusStrong attention to detail, problem solving and analytical thinkingEffective communication and collaborationComfortable working directly with business stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple prioritiesCompensation details: 108000-120000 Yearly SalaryPIea8471f20ed1-31181-40473068
