Quality Engineer Intern

Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Quality Engineer Intern to support our Quality team in ensuring products and processes meet internal standards and customer requirements. This role will work closely with multifunctional teams across manufacturing, engineering, and operations, specifically supporting aerospace fastener manufacturing processes. The intern will gain hands‑on experience with quality systems, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated aerospace environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with preparing quality inspections, audits, and documentation reviewsSupport Material Review Board (MRB) activities and documentation supportSupport root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activitiesAssist in maintaining and updating the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and supplier quality recordsCollect, analyze, and report quality-related dataHelp maintain quality records, procedures, and work instructionsParticipate in continuous improvement and process optimization projectsAssist in monitoring nonconformances and tracking corrective actionsCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teamsSupport compliance with AS9100 and ISO, regulatory, or customer quality requirementsRequired QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysisEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with tools such as 8D-Problem Solving Method, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagramsExperience with documentation control or manufacturing environmentsWhat You’ll GainHands‑on quality engineering experienceExposure to real‑world quality systems and industry standardsMentorship from experienced quality professionalsOpportunities to contribute to impactful improvement projectsPhysical / Work RequirementsAbility to work in an office, lab, or manufacturing settingOccasional standing or light lifting may be required
