Assist in maintaining cleanliness of public areas. Follow the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor.Key Areas of Responsibility: Guestrooms and Public areas.Specific Duties:Obtain a room status report from the housekeeping supervisor to begin stripping the rooms that have checked out;Begin removing linens and trash from checked out rooms before housekeeper enters the room to clean it;Empty housekeeper's carts of all soiled linen and trash;Clean and remove spots/marks from walls and doors on each floor;Vacuum, sweep and mop hallways, stairways, vending areas and foyers;Stock linen carts with amenities and supplies for room attendants- may include taking supplies directly to room;Make sure all closets and linen chutes are locked at all times;Put away any housekeeping amenity and supply orders that have arrived;Vacuum and mop stairwells, be sure to check them for trash several times during your shift.Other Duties and Responsibilities as may be designatedQualifications: To perform this job successfully, incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Most tasks are performed in a team environment. There is minimal direct supervision.
