Store Associate

Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, sales, and checkout processes to ensure a positive shopping experience. Operate RF scanners and other inventory control systems to accurately track stock levels, perform stock replenishment, and manage product placement. Handle materials safely using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and manual handling techniques to load, unload, and organize merchandise. Maintain store cleanliness by performing routine cleaning tasks, organizing shelves, and ensuring the store environment is safe and inviting. Support shipping and receiving activities by loading and unloading shipments, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, and documenting inventory movements. Assist with merchandising efforts including product packaging, display setup, and ensuring retail store product knowledge is up-to-date for optimal customer assistance. Communicate effectively with team members across departments using organizational skills to coordinate tasks like inventory management, stocking schedules, and maintenance needs. Qualifications Previous retail store experience or warehouse operations experience is highly preferred. Proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks; forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory. Strong inventory management skills with familiarity in using RF scanners or similar technology. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices; manual handling skills are essential. Excellent communication skills combined with organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Basic math skills for counting stock, processing transactions, and managing inventory records.
