Access Laser Company is seeking a full-time Quality Engineering Coordinator to work with the Quality Team to support the production of laser systems.
Primary Duties:
Manage processes with Enterprise Resource Planning / Product Lifecycle Management transactions, including:
Facilitate and transact material that needs to be returned to vendors (RTV)
Transact Nonconformance Reports, Nonconforming Material Report, and Rework work orders
Create Change Requests or Engineering Change Orders to address identified quality issues
Support Inspection in managing outsourced calibrations for tools and equipment (i.e., schedule, quote, ship, purchase requisitions, etc.)
Manage Nonconformance Report and Material Review Board processes including:
Track and document NCRs through the NCR life cycle (Review, containment, corrective actions, and disposition)
Initiate and manage stock purges to segregate nonconforming materials
Oversee NCR and MRB data to ensure comprehensive quality reporting. Escalate critical observations to Management
Lead weekly MRB team meetings to review current NCRs
Manage MRB location and access to MRB cage (part check-in/check-out)
Develop MRB workflows as required per disposition type
Assist in the development and growth of the Quality Management System, including:
Update existing or developing new, quality and process documents
Conduct internal process/product audits and create audit reports with supporting documentation
Review reports from internal and external audits to identify areas where improvements can be made
Report quality issues to production managers and other stakeholders
Initiate and coordinate quality-related data from production, service or process improvement activities and reports these data using statistical techniques
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Standard Job Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Quality Assurance or equivalent relevant experience
Over 3 years of experience in a quality role in a manufacturing environment
Experience in using PLM and ERP systems, especially in NCR, DMR, RTV transactions
Familiarity with Material Review Board (MRB) processes and handling of nonconforming materials
Experience creating documented work instructions and other quality related process documents
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability and desire to work in collaborative team environments
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Highly Desirable Additional Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance or equivalent relevant experience
Ability to develop and administer quality related projects
Audit experience is a plus, though not required
Ability to assist in developing and reporting KPIs and other quality data metrics
