DC Yard JockeyShift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAYThe DC yard jockey is responsible for efficiently and safely driving the yard truck and performing duties related to placing trailers into various spots within the locations of the facility.Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a yard truck with attached trailer to include backing trailer into confined spacesPromptly moves trailers and containers to assigned dock doors as directed by DC PersonnelUtilizes computer aided Yard Management System for trailer movesPerforms all duties in a safe, accurate, and timely mannerReports any mechanical irregularities to DC Managers at onceMaintain a clean work area at all timesConducts other duties as required and assignedQualifications and CompetenciesHigh School Diploma or GED equivalencyMinimum 1 year of related experienceExperience with GPS tracking/Yard Management System equipment a plusSafe driving record and strong emphasis on safetyAbility to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manualsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsMust regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Tolerance for extreme heat or cold as consistent with outside weather conditionsSome overtime required including weekend workAbout UsWhen you're a part of our team, you have the full support of a diverse, close-knit team in our stores.
