compiling - and analyzing practitioner specific and aggregated by subspecialty data for the completion of the ongoing professional practice evaluation (OPPE) process and maintenance of the provider specific filesThe OPPE process identifies professional practice trends that may impact on quality of care - the incumbent communicates negative trends or threshold breaches to the appropriate clinical service chief with validated data and supporting documentationThe criteria used in the ongoing professional practice evaluation and thus the type of data to be collected with performance targets will be based on provider privileges - determined by individual departments - and approved by the professional standard board and the Medical Executive BoardOPPE is conducted concurrently and reviewed regularly by the respective service chiefsThe incumbent consistently demonstrates an understanding and procedures to implement VHA directives and accreditation standards related to credentialing - privileging and practice monitoring (focus and ongoing)Duties include - but are not limited to: Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to understand clinical and administrative indicators that are meaningful measures of provider practice and privilegesThe incumbent works with non-clinical data staff to translate indicators into an actionable format that allows for electronic data retrievalConducts clinical reviews for established indicatorsDisplays performance dataCollaborates with leadership and all involved in the OPPE process to ensure a timely - workflow processes - and layouts for complex - enterprise-scale data sets used for modeling - data mining - and research purposesDevelops and administers databases and/or data management systems that allow for the storage -
