IT Supply Chain Manager

Direct Hire Location: Duluth, GA- HybridPosition Overview:This role is responsible for overseeing and facilitating enterprise-wide IT initiatives, ensuring that project activities, requests, and tickets are handled efficiently. The incumbent will ensure that these efforts align with both current and future business objectives, supporting the organization’s broader strategy.Core Responsibilities:Lead a team of IT Supply Chain Analysts and Senior Analysts, steering supply chain-related projects and ensuring effective system support. Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive business strategy, implement new technologies, and develop long-term roadmaps. Align IT systems and solutions with the company’s overall goals, ensuring they can support future expansion and growth. Work alongside IT teams, cross-functional departments, and external vendors to design, develop, and test software aimed at optimizing distribution center efficiency and reliability. Contribute to the design, deployment, validation, and ongoing maintenance of IT applications and infrastructure to meet evolving business needs. Facilitate internal communication regarding system changes, upgrades, and maintenance to ensure smooth transitions. Provide clear and concise updates to cross-functional teams and senior leadership on project progress, resource requirements, challenges, and priorities. Actively participate in incident management, service requests, change management, and reporting to support both IT and business operations. Oversee the creation and management of key documentation, including process workflows, user guides, functional and technical specifications, and testing scripts as required for projects or initiatives. Provide critical troubleshooting support for business systems, offering availability for 24/7 assistance during urgent issues, including weekends and holidays. While travel is minimal, must be willing to visit warehouse sites for project deployment as needed. Skills & Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred. At least 5 years of experience in managing IT supply chain projects, including full-cycle deployment. In-depth knowledge of warehouse and transportation management processes, including organizing warehouse environments and managing inventory control (e.g., storage, picking, packing, shipping, and loading). Understanding of transportation logistics within a facility, such as route planning and facility layout design. Willingness to quickly adopt new tools and applications, with a flexible approach to taking on additional responsibilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proven technical troubleshooting skills. Experience with Manhattan Associates supply chain software is preferred but not required. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities with creative problem-solving. Skilled in building and nurturing both internal and external relationships. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance.
