The Embalmer will be responsible for preparing, preserving, and restoring human remains for services. Duties include embalming, restorative art, preparing decedents for viewings or services, maintaining the mortuary facility, and adhering to strict legal and ethical standards. Duties also include arranging services with families. Collaboration with other funeral service professionals and effective communication with families are core aspects of this role.QualificationsTechnical skills in embalming, restorative art, and preparation of remainsKnowledge of industry regulations and adherence to health and safety guidelinesStrong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with sensitivityOrganizational and time management skills to work efficiently and meet deadlinesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills for supporting grieving familiesValid embalmer’s license or eligibility for licensing in the state of UtahWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as neededExperience in the funeral services industry is an assetFormal training or certification from an accredited mortuary science program
