Engineering Manager (Onsite)
Description:OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and driven Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems, with a focus on exhaust and emissions components. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving engineering excellence, improving manufacturability, and delivering practical, production-ready solutions that support our fabrication operations.What You’ll DoLead the design and development of exhaust and emissions-related products, including silencers and accessoriesDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and increase production efficiencyRedesign existing Tier 2 products to streamline manufacturing and improve performanceDevelop new emissions solutions, including Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systemsPartner closely with fabrication and operations teams to ensure designs are optimized for productionIdentify opportunities for product innovation and expansion into new marketsEstablish and maintain engineering standards, processes, and documentationMentor and lead a team of engineers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvementWhat We’re Looking ForStrong experience in mechanical design, preferably within exhaust or emissions systemsProven leadership experience managing engineering teamsDemonstrated success in product redesign, cost reduction, and process improvementHands-on understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processesAbility to translate complex engineering concepts into practical, production-ready solutionsStrong problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindsetExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with emissions technologies such as SCR systems are an assetBackground in high-volume or custom fabrication environmentsFamiliarity with process optimization, automation, or lean manufacturing principlesBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (master’s degree is an asset.)5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with exhaust systems. Expertise in reviewing and redlining technical drawings and specifications.Proficiency in SolidWorks and engineering analysis tools.Hands-on understanding of fabrication techniques including, welding, forming, and assembly.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with shop personnel.
