Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse This is a 13-week contract position. 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, with 36 hours scheduled and 24 hours guaranteed. Please note that the facility is allowed to cancel one shift. The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. This role requires advanced fetal monitoring skills and the ability to respond to medical emergencies effectively. Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs. Assist in the labor and delivery process, including managing pain relief methods. Provide education and support to mothers and families throughout the birthing process. Perform assessments and interventions as necessary to ensure the safety of both mother and child. Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care. A minimum of 24 months of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience. Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA. Active and unrestricted state nursing license.
