Focus is American Doll product lines (not dolls) and may work on PowerPoint is big plus2+ licensing in consumer products a big plus (Extending the brand onto other products like on mugs, t-shirts and also extending on trend boards)URL/Online portfolio requiredWill look for mood board and how is it applied to productsJob Title: Designer, Consumer ProductsTHE TEAM:The Mattel Global Franchise Creative team focuses on creative direction and asset development for pitches, style guides, and informs licensing development around the world for Mattel brands.THE OPPORTUNITY:The Designer, works on Hardlines and Softlines Category Creative for Licensing and product development for Mattel and supports the Dolls CP/Franchise Creative team.The role works within the Dolls CP/Franchise Creative team, specially on the American Girl brand to pitch new business and drive product development/ programs. This includes Product development, mocking up necessary visuals, inspiring collections, and product, providing feedback and creative approvals. The role maintains communication with priority licensees and collaboration within the Dolls team, to ensure successful execution and visibility of the product line.WHAT YOUR IMPACT WILL BE:Provide creative support to priority licensees/programsDevelop new graphics, mock-ups and artwork as needed to support American GirlCP/Franchise CreativeShepherd Creative Product development and approvals across all categoriesPartner with cross functional team members to ensure creative consistencyManage logistical aspects of projects, project tracking and sharing within the orgWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:2+ years relevant experience in Licensing or Product designBrand Approvals experience including experience with Brand Comply or similar toolsCreative design and product development background; Softlines experience neededAdvanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Familiar with online Data Asset Management (DAM) systemsAbility to work on multiple projects / brands simultaneouslyStrong written and verbal communications skills, as well as presentation skills requiredAbility to work autonomously and in a team environmentKnowledge of the Consumer Products industryDemonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves
