CEI ITS Inspector

Join our team of professionals! Metric Engineering is searching for a CEI ITS Inspector for our Ft. Lauderdale office. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus at least two years in construction inspection, with one year in communications systems and/or signalization inspection. This position will be responsible for performing assignments in assisting the CEI Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties.Primary responsibilities include:Monitor the contractor’s daily work activities and ensure construction is being completed in accordance with the applicable Contract Documents.Record the contractor’s daily work activities and other information relevant to the project in a daily work report (DWR).Measure and report work quantities for construction progress payments.Maintain a set of redlined plans showing work completed to-date and any field adjustments that should be memorialized in the final as-built plans. Submit redline plans to the Project Administrator on a weekly basis for incorporation in the as-built plan set.Assist in field investigations, on an as-needed basis, to obtain additional details/information related to construction issues.Notify the Project Administrator and contractor of defective work, work activities that deviate from the plans or when materials are installed that do not meet Contract requirements.Monitor configuration and testing of ITS devices/equipment and ensure testing is being conducted in accordance with the approved test plan.Works independently and relies on extensive experience/judgment to plan and accomplish goals.The following certifications are required:CTQP Final Estimates Level IFDOT Advanced MOTInternational Municipal Signal Association Traffic Signal InspectorInternational Municipal Signal Association/Fiber Optic Association Fiber Optic TechnicianWhat We Offer: Competitive Salary Paid Time Off (Vacation, PTO & Holidays) Education & Licensing Reimbursements Employer paid basic life and disability insurance 401k with Company Contribution Medical, Dental & Vision InsuranceAbout Us: Metric Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1976 on the principle of providing personalized consulting engineering services.
