Substitute Food Service Worker
Substitute Food Service Positions Reports To: Assigned School's Food Service Manager Position Purpose: To effectively maintain overall operations of the Food Service Program while the permanent employee is absent. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED is desirable Basic math skills Ability to read and write the English language Demonstrate knowledge of food safety basics Ability to lift at least 30 pounds Ability to stand up to 6 hours Knowledge of portions sizes Ability to work well with others Duties and Responsibilities: Serve food to a cafeteria line Prepare food in a kitchen Perform cleaning activities May assist in the effective overall operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Program at different kitchen locations as needed Preparation of food items Prepare food carts Set food in steam tables Serve food Clean & sanitize all food service areas and equipment Take and document temperatures Unload and put away stock Wash dishes as needed Other duties as assigned
