Job OverviewJob OverviewThe Wedding Sales Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing sales and marketing strategies to build the wedding sales, maximize revenue, increase occupancy rates, and enhance the overall brand presence of the hotel. This individual plays a crucial role in achieving the hotel's financial and business objectives. This position requires a strong understanding of the hospitality industry, market trends, and effective promotional tactics. And most importantly likes to make dreams come true!What You'll Be DoingSales Strategy and Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan that targets the wedding and social market segments and accounts for leisure business. Identify new business opportunities, maintaining existing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets. Responsible for sales and bookings of all wedding events. Analyze market trends and guest feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to the company. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination for group events. Work closely with revenue management teams to optimize pricing strategies and maximize revenue per available room (RevPAR). Implement effective yield management practices to balance occupancy and rates. Monitor and analyze competitive set pricing and adjust strategies as needed.Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key clients & industry partners.Conduct site tours and answer wedding event inquiries, including room blocks, welcome parties, etc. and all wedding related events.Effective communication with Food & Beverage Department Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and stay updated on industry trends.Budgeting and Financial Analysis:Assist in developing and managing of the sales and marketing budget, allocating resources effectively. Make data-driven decisions to improve ROI on marketing initiatives. Team Leadership:Train, and lead a high-performing support team. Provide guidance & coaching to team members. Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in hotel sales and marketing, with a track record of achieving revenue goals. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Proficiency in using hotel management systems, sales software and marketing analytics tools. In-depth knowledge of the local and regional hospitality market.The Wedding Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving a hotel's revenue growth and brand recognition. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines.
