Job Title: Electronic /Engineering Technician - Firmware/Soldering Duration: 6 Months Location: Santa Clara California 95051 Salary Range: $40 - $45IntroductionWe are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to join our team for a six-month contract. This role involves working with cutting-edge semiconductor technology in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in semiconductor R&D, testing, and measurement, and will be responsible for leading and documenting activities related to complex equipment and systems.Required Skills & Qualifications7 years' experience as a semiconductor R&D Technician, testing, measurement, or related experience in the semiconductor industryExperience in general hardware assembly, firmware/OS flashing, and deployment of systems as well as advanced PCB soldering skillsExperience with performing operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipmentAbility to maintain and organize lab equipment and accessoriesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalPrior work experience in the client's industryApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.Preferred Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree and 1 year of Engineering Technician or related work experience, orAssociate's degree and 2 years of Engineering Technician or related work experience, orHigh School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of Engineering Technician or related work experienceDay-to-Day ResponsibilitiesLead and document activities related to benches, testers, and other equipmentPerform complex measurements, document test results, KPIs, and other outcomes, and maintain malfunction recordsCollaborate with vendors and cross-functionally with internal teams to troubleshoot and perform complex repair, rework, removal, and modifications to equipment as necessarySet up test equipment using hand tools or automatic test methods and help design complex tests of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assembliesHelp develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test procedures; reproduce and debug complex issues and review and approve documentation of process or SOP changesMonitor and maintain the purchasing, shipping/transporting, receiving, and usage of inventory and equipment for test labs, field engineering, and business unit projectsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and help manage the development and execution of new processes; review the work products of other Engineering TechniciansCompany Benefits & CultureComprehensive health and wellness benefitsOpportunities for professional development and career growthCollaborative and innovative work environmentFor immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
