An experienced, highly self-motivated Civil/Environmental/Solid Waste Engineer will support our established environmental engineering practice and solid waste landfill projects. This position is for a project engineer and development leader within our multidiscipline environmental consulting group. The ideal candidate will be capable of delivering varied civil and environmental projects focused on solid waste landfill facilities; environmental permitting; and compliance throughout Texas and neighboring states. The ability to integrate and collaborate within the environmental and engineering departments, across departments, and across technical fields is a key to success at Hydrex Environmental.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Employee will play a key role in the continued growth of the company by helping maintain relationships and manage projects with existing clients, helping develop new clients with solid waste and industrial facility design, construction, and permitting projects. Employee will provide services and possess capabilities such as:• Municipal solid waste (MSW) facility planning, design, and permitting.• Landfill gas collection and control system (GCCS) design, operations, and maintenance oversight, construction plans and specifications preparation, and construction quality assurance (CQA).• GCCS emission modeling and inventory reporting.• Base Flood Elevation (BFE) studies and No Rise Analysis for floodplains.• MSW and industrial containment liner and cover systems design.• Leachate collection and transfer system design.• Engineering design and implementation related to contaminated site remediation.• Spill and pollution prevention (SPCC & P2) plan preparation.• SARA Tier II and Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reporting.• Geotechnical investigation planning and reporting.• Strong project management skills including development and maintenance of project budgets.• Responsible for executing projects involving solid waste facilities, with flexibility to work on other civil and environmental engineering projects based on workload and project needs.• Ability to develop professional relationships focused on company growth.• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers,and the public.• Able to provide leadership through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
