Solar Crew Lead
Description:Empower Solar is a full service, residential solar installer looking for experienced and driven individuals to join our ever-growing team! Installers will work as part of a team installing all photovoltaic system components and electrical equipment ensuring successful operation of complete photovoltaic system under the direct supervision of Operations Manager.Responsibilities and Duties:Leads Solar installation on siteResponsible for the care and safety of the crew members on jobsites.Assures completeness of Installation from Roof to ElectricalResponsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environmentCollect data and photos during and at the end of each projectOrganize, lead and train crews to complete projects within company's SOP'sKnowledge and experience with installation of Battery Back-up systemsComplete projects within given time frames and budgetsMaintain high levels of quality assurance and control, with an emphasis on crew safetyCompetently delegate work amongst crew and resolve potential crew issuesDiagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issuesCommunicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your abilityOther tasks duties as assignedQualifications:2-5 years' solar installation experience in both commercial and residential applicationsKnowledge of basic residential, commercial and battery storage installationsMinimum 1 year of leading a crew of 3 or moreAbility to work in challenging environments (hot sun, cold, wind, tight spaces, etc.)Capable of standing for long stretches of time and working at heights (on rooftops, climb ladders and stairs)Ability to safely handle tools and materials commonly found in the construction and solar industries, such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.Self-motivated with an attention to productivity, detail and safetyAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during work, including but not limited to peers and customersAbility to read basic solar and electrical plansStrong work ethic and excellent communication and documentation skillsBenefits:We offer employees working full-time comprehensive benefits, including health coverage (medical, dental and vision), 401K, paid Holidays off, and Sick Leave.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, climb, crawl, push, pull, reach, sit, stand, climb ladders, and work with various tools and equipment.
