Genetic Counselor Associate
A company is looking for an Associate Report Writer to support the classification and interpretation of genetic variants for accurate test results and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Review and classify genetic variants using established guidelines (e.g., ACMG/AMP)
Conduct literature reviews and database searches to gather evidence for variant interpretation
Collaborate with clinical geneticists, bioinformaticians, and laboratory personnel to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Master's degree from an accredited genetic counseling program
Board-eligible status or active certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) for Genetic Counselors
Licensure in the state of employment, if applicable
Prior clinical or laboratory experience preferred but not required
Demonstrated proficiency in mathematical reasoning and computer literacy
