Application InstructionsPlease fill out the application completely and submit a Resume.Position DescriptionHeavy Equipment Operator: Level 2Must be able to operate at a High Production speed on at least one of the following machines: Bulldozer (up to D9), Excavator (up to CAT 349), Motor Grader (up to CAT 140M). Any Finishing experience is welcome.Create level surfaces, grade slopes to specifications, remove material and thoroughly fill voids using plans or our survey team for guidance.Maintain equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventive maintenance tasks and/or making minor repairs as required.Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure that it is in proper operating condition.Work with the Superintendent or Foreman to help ensure that work is flowing smoothly throughout the day.Help the Superintendents and Foreman identify areas needing improvement in our production processes.Perform general labor as needed.Mentor and teach colleagues with less experienceAttend trainings and safety meetingsStore and clean machinery at its designated location and note any deficienciesREQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:Able to read drawings, plans and blueprintsFamiliar with staking and checking gradePossesses strong math and analytical skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to process information quickly and accuratelyDependable and able to work independently with little supervision as well as with a team of individualsMust know the consistency of material and understand compaction techniquesPosition RequirementsRequirements:Safety Sensitive PositionMust be 18 years of age or older.Must have reliable transportation.Must have the ability to work extended hours as required by the workload.Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in all types of terrainAble to meet all physical requirements such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting 50 pound or more.Ability to work around loud noises and can tolerate being exposed to odors, gasses, dust, etc.Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, and in excavated areas.Equal Opportunity Employer**Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
