Machine Operator – 2nd Shift Hiring for 2nd Shift – Earn $21.50/hour with shift differential Pay: $20.50/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential Total 2nd‐Shift Rate: $21.50/hourSchedule: 2nd Shift (exact hours can be listed if desired) Classification: Full‐Time | Hourly | Non‐Exempt Reports To: Site ManagerJob SummaryThe Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring automated paper‐converting equipment to produce roll and sheet products used in large/wide‐format paper applications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment.Pay InformationStarting base rate: $20.50/hour2nd‐shift differential: $1.00/hourTotal hourly rate for 2nd shift: $21.50/hourShift differential applies only to hours worked on 2nd shift and is subject to company policy.Duties & ResponsibilitiesStart machines and adjust controls to regulate and synchronize machine operationsLoad paper rolls onto machine feed tracksMeasure, space, and set cutters according to product specificationsMonitor machine operations to detect and correct issues such as improper cuttingInspect finished products to verify quality and conformance to work ordersMake adjustments to machinery as neededBag and box finished product at the end of the production lineMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaRequired Skills & AbilitiesMinimum 1 year of recent machine operation experienceAbility to read, write, and speak English fluentlyAbility to pass a basic math and measurement testAbility to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working in a non‐climate‐controlled warehouse environmentStrong attention to detail and organizationAbility to operate a manual pallet jackEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMust pass a background checkPhysical RequirementsPhysical ActivitiesProlonged standing (frequent to constant)Walking throughout production and warehouse areasOccasional sittingFrequent use of hands and arms for handling tools and materialsAbility to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as neededClear verbal communication in a manufacturing environmentLifting & Material HandlingUp to 10 lbs – frequentlyUp to 25 lbs – frequentlyUp to 50 lbs – frequentlyVision RequirementsClose, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perceptionAbility to adjust focus (with or without corrective lenses)Work EnvironmentNon‐climate‐controlled warehouseExposure to moving mechanical parts, loud noise, vibration, and forklift trafficOccasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, heat, and humidityHeat‐Related Expectations Employees must be able to work safely in warm conditions while following heat‐illness prevention practices, including hydration, rest breaks, and early reporting of symptoms.
