Tool Room Machinist

Tool Room Machinist 1st ShiftR&L Spring Company and Medicoil are each seeking an experienced Tool Room Machinist to join their team on 1st shift. In this role, you will design, build, repair, and modify tooling such as jigs, fixtures, and dies that support our manufacturing operations.If you enjoy solving mechanical challenges, working with precision equipment, and supporting production improvements, this is a great opportunity to join a stable, family-run manufacturing company.What You'll DoBuild, repair, and modify tools, jigs, fixtures, and diesRead and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsSet up and operate machine shop equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMInspect finished work using precision measuring toolsSupport production and assembly departments with tooling improvementsAssist with equipment repairs and R&D part fabricationMaintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety proceduresWhat We're Looking ForProven experience as a machinist or tool room machinistExperience with manual and CNC machining (mills, lathes, grinders)Ability to read blueprints and technical drawingsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsExperience with tooling, fixtures, jigs, and gaugesCAD/CAM or EDM experience is a plusHigh school diploma or GED (vocational training or apprenticeship preferred)Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs occasionallyStanding and working with tools and machinery for extended periodsAbout UsR&L Spring Company and Medicoil are family-run manufacturers in Lake Geneva, WI known for our strong team culture, clean facility, and commitment to quality.
