Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical CareLocation: Klamath Falls, ORAgency: Job.com LLCPay: $2,400 to $2,500 per weekShift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hoursContract Duration: 13 WeeksStart Date: ASAPAbout the PositionRegistered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)Location: Klamath Falls, ORSchedule: Nights | Every Other Weekend | Float to PCU as NeededDuration: 13 WeeksCertifications: ACLS, BLSPay: CompetitiveFacility & Unit OverviewHousing: Limited availability with pets — a special housing request must be submitted before placement.Unit: ICU with overflow from PCU and Med/Surg.Preferred Experience: IABP and Impella (preferred but not required).Patient Ratios & Case TypesTypical Ratios: 1 RN to 2 patients; occasionally 1:1.When assisting with overflow from PCU or Med/Surg, ratios may increase to 3–5:1 depending on CNA availability.Common Diagnoses: General medical/surgical critical care, STEMI, pneumonia, COVID, DKA, CVA, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, and similar cases.Skills & ResponsibilitiesMust-Have Skills: Ventilator and pressor management.Preferred Skills: Impella and balloon pump experience (low patient volume).Drip Management: Precedex, insulin, epinephrine, norepinephrine, propofol.Drip Titration: Required.Charge Nurse: Present on unit, takes patients.CNA Support: Available depending on staffing.Team & EquipmentHospitalist: In-house 24/7.Intensivist: Available by page (not in-house 24/7).Respiratory Therapy: On-site 24/7.RT Equipment: V60s, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC).Telemetry: Central Monitoring Unit staffed 24/7; RNs read and verify strips.Scheduling & Contract DetailsShift Length: 12-hour shifts — 0545–1815 (days) | 1745–0615 (nights).Scheduling: Variable based on facility needs.Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (subject to change).Holiday Requirement: Yes.Cancellation Policy:=12 weeks: 1 shift (8–12 hours)13–18 weeks: 2 shifts (16–24 hours)=19 weeks: 3 shifts (24–36 hours)Call/Standby: None.Floating: Required to PCU and Med/Surg overflow.Additional DetailsDress Code: No specific scrub color; professional and clean appearance required.Orientation: 1–2 shifts, depending on experience and prior facility familiarity.Experience Requirement: Minimum 2.5–3 years ICU experience preferred.First-Time Travelers: Accepted with appropriate experience.
