Title
RF Spectrum or Satcom Engineer / RF Engineer – Client: Federal Client. Location: Remote.
Providing spectrum management support for domestic and international coordination and certification of spectrum availability for launch and orbiting missions. Analyzes the potential interference from U.S. federal commercial and foreign satellites based on orbital positions. Performs analysis on Satellite Coordination applications. Familiar and experienced with the Spectrum Planning Subcommittee (SPS) function. Maintains a continuing appraisal of the current and future needs of the various radio services and makes recommendations to the IRAC. Provides direct support and SME to the Government by identifying and planning the spectrum needs. Tracks, assesses, and reports any RF spectrum regulatory actions related to Federal agencies (NOAA, DoD, DoC, NASA). Participates and establishes technical rules and procedures for spectrum sharing & spectrum coordination with federal agencies and international administrations.
Required Skills
Knowledge of ITU-R Recommendations and Reports
Experience in coordination with Federal Agencies (DoD, NOAA, DoC, NASA)
Demonstrated ability to perform complex engineering analysis
Ability to use RF engineering tools (e.g., Visualyse, Spectrum XI and MATLAB)
Experience with RF Certification / ITU / IRACNET
Excellent written & communications skills in English
Required Qualifications
B.S or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 3-10 years' experience in satellite & cellular telecommunications' industry
US Citizen
Primary work environment is remote; however, domestic and/or international travel may be required.
