We’re committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growth.Overview Boeing SIWS Daybreak is hiring a hands‑on engineer to develop and operate mission‑critical infrastructure and automated delivery for our software platform in Kent, WA. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining repeatable, secure, and observable environments that support our production mission. You will write and test code that provisions infrastructure, pipelines, and deployment artifacts, be directly accountable for their reliability in production, and empower teams by delivering tooling as a service.Core responsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK to provision AWS accounts, VPCs, networking, IAM, and other cloud resources in a repeatable and auditable manner.Build, operate, and harden CI/CD pipelines to deploy services and serverless functions into development, staging, and production environments with automated testing and policy enforcement. Assist with review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software products.Containerize applications using Docker and author/maintain Helm charts (or equivalent packaging) for reproducible deployments. Support development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations.Implement environment bootstrapping and teardown automation so teams can create consistent, short‑lived test and integration environments. Support development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products.Deliver and operate internal developer‑facing platforms and tooling as a service (TaaS): self‑service infrastructure, deployment, observability, and security controls that let product teams move faster with confidence. Participate in handling user inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues, and user feedback analysis.Define, collect, and improve delivery and reliability metrics (DORA metrics: lead time, deployment frequency, MTTR, change failure rate) and other KPIs; translate metrics into actionable improvements.Integrate security and compliance controls into the delivery pipeline and infrastructure (SAST/SCA/DAST, secrets management, IAM policies, auditing).
