Primary Purpose:Teacher facilitators support the instructional development of all teachers in the understanding of SISDcurriculum. This role assists teachers in the effective implementation of district curriculum and supportsbest instructional practices across all content areas and grade levels. This position also entails thecoordination and monitoring of all local and state assessments. Provide students with appropriate in-person and distance or virtual instruction in the core academic area assigned to help them fulfill theirpotential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree from accredited universityMaster's Degree (preferred)Valid Texas elementary level teaching certificateBilingual/ESL endorsement (preferred)Special Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices for online learningKnowledge of effective instructional practicesAbility to use students test date systemsAbility to perform statistical analysisAbility to develop and deliver professional development to adult learnersExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of the state testing program and accountability systemExperience:Three years successful teaching experienceExperience and knowledge in the areas of curriculum, instruction and assessment.Major Responsibilities and Duties:Instructional Programming1. Develop and implement lesson plans for in-person, distance, and virtual learning that fulfill therequirements of district's curriculum program and show written evidence of preparation as required.Prepare lesson plans that reflect accommodations for differences in individual statements.2. Model lessons and instructional strategies as needed.3. Support the instructional development of all teachers in understanding the SISD curriculum, variedassessments, and data analysis.4. Provide direction and coordination for how the curriculum is taught consistent with district initiatives andrecognized best instructional practices.5. Provide technical support to collaborative teams within campus.6. Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc. to support classroom instructionand planning, including new resources.7. Support teachers and administrators in using data to improve instruction on all levels.8. Assist teachers with planning and pacing of lessons, the development of differentiated lessons, and theselection of best practices to meet the needs of their students.9. Support teachers by helping with the strategic pedagogy of teaching while sharing multiple instructionalstrategies/processes with teachers during planning times.10. Develop staff members' knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors through a variety of professionaldevelopment targeted topics and designs.Assessment Coordination11. Coordinate and execute all district and state testing12. Train campus staff in appropriate district and state testing procedures including the use of testing and dateprograms.13. Coordinate and monitor the implementation of testing accommodations for all special population students.14. Monitor local and state testing to ensure all regulations and rules are followed.15. Responsible for the organization, implementation, verification, collection, and distribution of materials forall assessments.16. Adhere to testing procedures and deadlines.17. Ensure coordination efforts between Special Education, LPAC, 504 and RTI Committees on testingprogram requirements.18. Identify, investigate, and address testing irregularities. Report discrepancies and disciplinary actions takenagainst students as required.Communication19. Be available by phone, email, or video conferencing to confer with district personnel, students, and/orparents.20. Communicate with students or parents on a regular basis via phone or video conference, email, or districtapproved website.21. Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students,colleagues, and community members.Analysis and Collaboration22. Generate and analyze reports at the student, teacher and campus level.23. Work with instructional teams to analyze test data and develop student achievement goals and objectives24. Consult with district staff to develop, administer, and interpret assessment guidelines and procedures.Recordkeeping, Reporting and Inventory25. Maintain and ensure integrity of testing data. Ensure all materials and data are submitted withinestablished timelines.26. Complete evaluation and compliance reports as required by local, state, and federal programs.27. Track and monitor location of test materials throughout the distribution, return, and storage process.28. Compile, maintain, file, and secure all reports, records, and other required documents.School/Community Relations29. Work cooperatively with parents and community members to ensure understanding andsupport for curriculum, instruction, and assessment.30. Build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and other staff members.Other31. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.32.
