Records Coordinator
As a Records Coordinator you will perform routine clerical duties such as maintaining correspondence, pleadings, facsimiles and other indexed records arranged in client physical files according to Shumaker’s established system. The ideal candidate will be organized with strong interpersonal skills. Where You’ll WorkThe Records Coordinator is an hourly non-exempt position and will work full-time at our Sarasota, Florida office. What You’ll DoFollow internal Records Department procedures, in addition to the firm’s Records Retention Policy procedures and schedulesCreate new files and folders as requested by assigned departmentPerform general numeric filing, sorting and cross-referencingPrepare and scan documents using multi-function printer, reviewing all documents for accuracyLocate and retrieve files, folders, or documents for firm employees as neededUtilize computer applications such as iManage, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and 3ESave scanned documents in iManage using firm standardized naming conventionsPhysically store files in storage facilities as needed, following firm policies on records retentionWhat We’re Looking ForHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Strong communication, organizational, and results focus skillsAttention to detail and accuracy of data entryProficiency with MS Word, Outlook and ExcelAbility to work well under pressure with patience and diplomacyWho We AreWe’re not just another law firm - we’re something different.
