This role ensures AS9100‑level quality, on‑time delivery, and high performance across a fast‑paced, tight‑tolerance environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily operations across CNC milling, CNC turning, grinding, honing, and manual machiningManage production schedules to meet aerospace program deadlines and quality standardsOversee CNC setups, tooling, workholding, offsets, and minor program adjustmentsEnforce all safety protocols and maintain a strong safety culturePerform and supervise precision inspections using metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and equipment issues to reduce downtimeDrive Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiativesMaintain accurate records for production metrics, tooling inventory, and maintenanceTrain and mentor machinists in advanced machining techniques and GD&TPartner with engineering and quality teams on prototype builds, DFM/DFA, and process improvementsQualificationsExperience supervising teams in precision machining or CNC-driven manufacturingStrong understanding of CNC and manual machines, tooling, and machining processesAbility to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace work instructionsFamiliarity with inspection tools, SPC, and shop‑floor quality practicesAbility to identify and resolve machining and equipment issuesExposure to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or CI methodsStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsMust be eligible to work in the U.S. and obtain required government authorizationsPreferredExperience in aerospace, defense, medical device, or regulated manufacturingKnowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 environmentsLean Six Sigma training or certification
