Electronics Assembly Technician

Responsibilities * Assemble, install, test, inspect, and troubleshoot mechanical spacecraft assemblies. * Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and written assembly/integration/test procedures. * Perform second-party verification and visual inspections to ensure assemblies meet requirements. * Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, transportation equipment, and other ground support equipment (GSE) as required. * Operate machine tools and equipment, including drill presses, grinders, chop saws, power tools, and hand tools. * Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators. * Work closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Procurement, and Shipping teams to resolve production and quality issues. * Support additional mechanical activities as business needs require. * Cross-train and mentor new employees. Basic Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED. * 5+ years of experience in structures, mechanical, electrical, and/or final assembly. * 3+ years following written and verbal work instructions. * 3+ years working with blueprints, specifications, assembly drawings, and SOPs. * 3+ years using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and/or dial indicators. * 3+ years working with materials such as adhesives, composites, epoxy, fabrics, honeycomb core, laminates/plastics, or resins. * Ability to stand, reach, bend, and stoop for extended periods. * Ability to frequently lift 20 lbs. or more. Preferred Qualifications * 3+ years using structures hand tools, test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet-metal brakes, and shears. * Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Experience working in a Class 100,000 cleanroom environment. * 5+ years building component-level space products such as avionics boxes, batteries, mechanisms, optics, PCB assemblies, or solar arrays. * 5+ years of mechanical troubleshooting, disassembly, and repair experience.
