Internal Technical Support Engineer

Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining internal Engineering systems with a long-term goal of supporting our Field Service Organization in maintenance of same systems. This person will be responsible for diagnosing and providing solutions to malfunctions in the equipment located in our Engineering Lab. This position requires customer support orientation, excellent communication skills as well as a willingness and ability to learn and understand new technology. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Deliver service and support to internal Hardware, Software, and Applications Engineering organizations to achieve maximum up time of all internal ATE equipment. · Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues involving all “LTXC” products by evaluating and analyzing the symptoms. · Research requires information using available resources, identifying and escalating priority issues per standard process. · Accurately process and record call transactions using current processes. · Track and maintain accurate spares needed to support internal equipment. · Interface with Technical Support team to help duplicate customer issues internally to help drive resolution of customer issues. Education and/or Experience: · BSEE or equivalent experience in Product Support environment · Knowledge of RF, Analog and Digital circuits and test equipment, emphasis on RF · Knowledge of Linux environment a plus · Experience in Customer Support a plus · Test Engineering background helpful · Well-developed communication skills Company Summary Cohu, Inc. is a U.S. based, publicly traded Nasdaq company (COHU) with corporate headquarters in Southern California (in Poway in the Greater San Diego, CA area).
