Location: Clarksville, TNPay Range: $81,207 – $121,810 annuallySchedule: Monday – FridayPosition Type: Full-TimeApplication Managed By: Millan EnterprisesPosition OverviewA local public works agency is seeking an experienced NPDES Manager to coordinate, implement, and manage compliance of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) MS4 permit in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.This position involves stormwater compliance management, public outreach, staff supervision, and technical reporting. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of stormwater experience, is detail-oriented, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise staff, including performance evaluations, training, and schedulingOversee stormwater conservation and quality efforts, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local codesReview and approve engineering and construction plans; resolve system design issuesEnforce stormwater management regulations and ensure compliance with TDEC and NPDES requirementsDevelop public outreach programs and give presentations to community groupsDevelop grants and professional service contracts; respond to customer complaints and recommend program improvementsMaintain the Storm Water Ordinance, Storm Water Management Manual, and Municipal Good Housekeeping ProgramQualificationsBachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field3+ years of stormwater experience related to development, design, and maintenanceValid driver's license requiredTDEC Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Level II certification requiredKnowledge of NPDES, civil engineering principles, and applicable federal, state, and local regulationsStrong communication, organizational, and computer skillsCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $81,207 – $121,810 annually, commensurate with experienceHealth Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision coverageRetirement: Defined contribution pension plan; 401(k) plans availableAdditional: Paid holidays, vacation leave, sick leave, long-term and short-term disability, life insurance, and Employee Health & Wellness Clinic accessWork EnvironmentOn-site position in Clarksville, TN.
