Location: Remote (LATAM)Schedule: Full-Time (40hrs) EST, 5 shifts per week. May require some flexible hours into evenings or weekends as scheduled.Contract: Minimum 3-month contract with the potential for an indefinite extension based on performance. We provide equipment.Summary / Overall PurposeIn this role, you will use underwriting skills to expedite the financing approval process. You will also use processor skills to follow up on a pipeline of projects with a duty to field and address questions, clear any existing conditions, and deliver a heightened level of service. You are a confident communicator, have a positive and professional personality, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Essential / Primary Duties, Functions And ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite files, clear conditions, and send out finance agreements to help complete decisions up to and including approval and/or denial. Manage pipelines by interfacing with property owners, contractors, and Regional Account Managers (RAMs). Ensure accurate and thorough analysis of credit risk and proper documentation for all applicants and projects submitted for tax financing. Take ownership of all assigned projects once the application is submitted and ensure all documents are in place for the project to move to NTP (Notice to Proceed). Review projects and confirm they are complete with appropriate permits, inspections, and lien releases as applicable. Ensure pipeline tasks and requirements are maintained and proactively assist in driving designated projects toward NTP. Prepare financing documents and coordinate accurate execution with property owners, contractors, and signing agents. Complete Identity Verification (IDV) for all property owners of record. Conduct Deal Verification Calls (Welcome Calls) with property owners. Support documentation requirements for final financing agreements and work within district requirements to finalize project financing. Assist in the development and maintenance of department policies and procedures. Help develop the team’s knowledge and skills based on customer experiences and scenarios. Collaborate with team members and serve as a subject matter expert in underwriting and business processes. Perform special projects, research, and other duties as assigned. Underwriter Processor Skills & ExperienceA combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field, or 2-4 years of experience in processing, underwriting, funding, or escrow within mortgage or financial services. PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) experience preferred. Excellent listening and problem-solving skills. Resourceful and proactive in finding solutions that meet and exceed both property owner and contractor expectations while adhering to program guidelines. Ability to remain calm under pressure and navigate the organization to solve problems. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to independently manage daily tasks and short-term projects. Professional and confident verbal communication skills with clear and concise writing ability. Passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF conversions required. Salesforce platform experience strongly preferred. Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish preferred. May start as temporary-to-hire depending on experience. May require flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as scheduled.
