Inventory Control Specialist (1st Shift)

Job Summary: This person will oversee Customer Inventory by coordinating with the Operations Team through receiving, warehousing, and distribution services. Essential Functions: Maintain Inventory accuracy by auditing and cycle counting receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. Initiate, coordinate, and enforce processes and procedures to produce customer service excellence. Ensure correct and timely handling of product within the established Vertical Cold Storage policies and procedures. Utilizing appropriate, defined practices to ensure accuracy and compliance. Control inventory by conducting physical counts and reconciling with system software. Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by following and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Protect shipments by investigating causes of damages and discrepancies in consignments. Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse by inspecting equipment and issuing work orders for repair. Enforce safety policies by conducting inspections, counseling employees, and identifying and correcting infractions. Collaborate departmental workflow between warehouse, production, office, and corporate administrative departments. Job Qualifications A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook. 1-3 years experience in warehouse/distribution preferred. Knowledge and experience in safety and OSHA are desired. Bilingual skills desired. Strong customer service skills with the ability to read and write English. Ability to communicate at all levels. Problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Physical Requirements: Employee is regularly required to stand and walk for 8 or more hours in a day. Effectively handle lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 60 pounds frequently Employee is frequently required to bend, twist, use hand to finger, handle, control and climb or balance, and reach with hands and arms.
