Business Analyst
Source One is a staffing services company and we’re currently recruiting for a Business Analyst with insurance industry experience and strong MS Excel skills, to work as a permanent employee of our direct client, a specialty insurance company in Tampa, FL. This company is currently moving from a legacy environment to a 100% cloud based and automated platform.Responsibilities:Document and understand processes - Collaborate with stakeholders to document current business processes thoroughly. Develop a deep understanding of workflows, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.Recommend process improvements - Analyze existing processes and propose enhancements to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. Present recommendations to stakeholders with supporting data and rationale.Elicit and document business requirements - Conduct interviews and meetings with business users to elicit and document clear, concise, and comprehensive business requirements. Ensure requirements align with business objectives and strategies.Align requirements to solutions, both existing and new - Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications.Configure platforms, as available, using SaaS solutions and/or low-code | no-code. Collaborate with developers as needed to implement custom solutions.Testing configuration and implementation - Perform thorough testing of configurations to ensure accuracy, functionality, and usability. While coding skills are not necessary, need to have strong data analytical abilities including Advanced MS Excel skills.Insurance industry experience is required. Property & Casualty (P&C) experience is a plus.Proven experience writing business requirements related to insurance products. Experience working directly with insurance systems such as MGA (Managing General Agent), PAS (Policy Administration System), UW (Underwriting), WB (Workflow/Business Process Management) is a plus.Proven track record of successfully delivering process improvements and system implementations.Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation, requirements gathering, and system configurations.Familiarity with insurance operations, including policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, and regulatory requirements.
