This is a new position that is created to embed Cybersecurity strategy into daily operations while supporting a culture of security-first behaviors.What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)Experience supporting Higher education, Research, or Academic InstitutionsKnowledge of FERPA, Research Data Protections, and Academic Compliance requirements57 years of Information Security, GRC, or Security Awareness experienceStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsAbility to translate Cybersecurity strategy into Academic operationsWhat You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)Serve as the Cybersecurity liaison for University leadership, faculty, and staffLead security awareness training tailored to Academic and Research environmentsSupport compliance with FERPA, NIST, and institutional security policiesIdentify and mitigate Cybersecurity risks related to research, data sharing, and systemsEmbed security practices into university operations and initiativesCompensation Information The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 $140,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
