Client Services Consultant, Mainframe DevOps
Job Description:A technology professional with skill and experience in DevOps Mainframe Operations Life Cycle Management. Displaying a broad range of disciplines, environments, and automation best practices within the automated operations practice, or the individual may possess skills and highly technical experience in Endevor software. Familiar with Zowe as an interface for DevOps. Provides assistance and recommendations to management and clients on automated operations topics pertaining to the architectural design and development of applied systems and software services. Additional capabilities such as REXX coding to enhance further automation capabilities of the Consultant is important for this position.Ability to travel to client sites is required for this position.PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:Analyzes Life Cycle Management data requirements and provides related solution modeling and implementation.Reviews proposed solution plans for Endevor and related automated operations.Evaluates solution design, upgrade, conversion from other products and implementation approaches.Conducts hardware/software comparative evaluations as they relate to Life Cycle Management.Technical solution trouble shooter and post-implementation support.Acts as consultant in studying and recommending actions on a wide variety of technical areas regarding Life Cycle Management and Dev Ops.Communicates current innovations and trends in Life Cycle Management.Technical consultant and reference source.Ability to implement or upgrade Endevor, build processors, create inventory structures and build application configuration of life cycle elements.Ability to script or code quick implementation to solve conversion from other products to EndevorTECHNICAL SKILLS:Understanding of Endevor concepts and practiceUnderstanding and implementation of Endevor Components, ACM, PDM, Security interface and Quick Edit.Proficient with REXX programming languagesBachelor's Degree preferred and 8+ years’ experience with EndevorFirm understanding of Endevor processors and ability to take examples and put together processors that do program compiles and other utilities such as JCL checkFamiliarity with Changeman, ISPW, Librarian, Panvalet, and other competitor products to Endevor is a plus.People And Communication SkillsAbility to listen to client requirements and organize them into a list of business needs and objectivesAbility to provide written communication back to the project manager and customer regarding build and integrate instructions, assigned task status, and ability to communicate through channels such as knowledge transfer instructions to run the solution after implementation is complete.Ability to follow a communication plan established by the project managerAbility to document clearly all the aspects listed above, and ability to clearly communicate in writing project statuses, task statuses, and communicate in writingOther Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain deep knowledge of assigned product capabilities, in this case our Mainframe DevOps Solutions, and how they provide value to clientsHave a thorough knowledge with regard to the competitive marketplaceBe able to articulate the value that products deliver to customer initiativesDeliver technical presentations, demos, POCs, RFx responsesInstall and configure assigned products in customer environmentsUnderstand and be able to identify client needs for ALL products in the CA portfolioDemonstrate effective partnering with Broadcom's internal and external partnersCollaborate with other technical experts to develop detailed specifications, as necessary.Demonstrate effective time management.REQUIREMENTS:Technical Bachelors and/or up to 2 years of related experience or Masters.Additional Job Description:Compensation And BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $59,000.00 - 90,000.This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.Broadcom offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental and vision plans, 401(K) participation including company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company paid holidays, paid sick leave and vacation time.
