We are a small, high-performing team of roboticists, ML engineers, and systems engineers delivering real-world capability to operators in the field. We seek to deliver validated, integrated capabilities to the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.About The JobWe are seeking a Hardware / Mechatronics Engineer to maintain, modify, and integrate the robotic platforms our team develops on. You will be the hands-on expert responsible for robot health, sensor integration, custom mechanical fabrication, and the physical modifications needed to adapt commercial platforms for defense applications.What You'll DoMaintain and repair robotic platforms: joint module replacement, actuator diagnostics, sensor calibration, and firmware updatesDesign and fabricate custom mechanical assemblies: payload mounting systems, tool attachments, sensor brackets, and protective enclosuresIntegrate sensors (cameras, LiDAR, IMU, force/torque) into robotic platformsDesign and build end-effector modifications and task-specific toolingDevelop and maintain hardware documentation, maintenance procedures, and spare parts inventorySupport field testing and demonstrations, including rapid hardware triageRequired Qualifications3+ years of experience in mechatronics, robotics hardware, or electromechanical systems integrationHands-on experience with robotic platforms (assembly, disassembly, repair)Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and fabrication (CNC, 3D printing)Experience with sensor integration and calibrationWorking knowledge of electrical systems, motor drivers, and embedded hardwareEligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearancePreferred QualificationsExperience with legged robotic platformsExperience with dexterous hand or gripper hardwareFEA and structural analysis experiencePrior work in defense, aerospace, or field roboticsUS Salary Range$129,000 - $194,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
