Circa Resort & CasinoJOB SUMMARY:The Lifeguard is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to each and every guest, while also maintaining the aquatic safety of all guests.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting the Company Service Standards at all timesResponsible for the daily set up of the pool decks before the pools open to guests and completing a breakdown of the pools each day as they closeFollow all designated emergency proceduresProvide constant visual surveillance of pool and surrounding area identifying any potential safety or emergency situationsAssists guests with requests, offering appropriate alternatives and seeking assistance when necessaryUnderstands and is well-versed in the resort features and services including all outlets, hours of operation, activities and events available to guestsAttend required trainingAssists other departments as necessary QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 16 years of agePrevious lifeguard experience preferred, but not requiredMust be able to communicate in English with guests, management and other Team MembersMust be able to work efficiently within a team environmentMust be able to work effectively in stressful, high pressure situationsMust be able to initiate and maintain an upbeat and relaxed environment on a consistent basisPossess basic knowledge of the Las Vegas area and attractionsMust be capable of administering CPR, First Aid or provide rescue in accordance with Red Cross trainingMust be willing to participate in promotional campaigns and promote upcoming events via social platformsKnows and adheres to departmental policies and procedures, embraces company culture and takes pride in the resort and amenitiesMust be available to work all shifts and days, including opening and closing shifts EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Must have, or be able to obtain, all required Nevada work cards (Health)Must have, or ability to obtain, an American Red Cross certification in CPR for the professional RescuerMust have, or ability to obtain, a valid, accredited Lifeguard Training & First Aid certification PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbolsManual dexterity to operate job related equipmentPerformance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping.
