Due to this, all positions at DBL require assisting in other departments.Safety, anticipating guest needs, honoring our surroundings and bringing your best every day are the core values we live by in order to provide dynamic guest service at the Denali Backcountry Lodge. Naturalists at the Denali Backcountry Lodge lead hikes through Kantishna, the backcountry of Denali National Park. As a Naturalist, you will conduct guest activities and provide accurate and enthusiastic interpretations of the natural and cultural history relate to Denali National Park. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities to include:Provide natural and cultural history information to Lodge guests; hikes vary from casual, moderate and challengingTransport guests to trailheads on private and National Park Service landsDevelop and present educational programsMaintain fishing gear and waders and sell fishing licenses to guestsWhat skills and experience do you need for this job?Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsOutstanding organizational and leadership abilitiesKnowledge and experience of common hiking, camping and outdoorsAbility to bend, lift, climb stairs and lift up to 50 poundsCurrent First Aid and CPR Certification requiredWilderness First Responder (WFR) Certificate requiredMust be 21+ years of age at the time of employment start with valid Driver's LicenseCertified Interpretive Guide (CIG) preferredThe starting wage for this role is $18.75.About Us:We're more than a hospitality and attractions company.
