Low Voltage Technician

Low Voltage Technician We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and maintain low voltage systems across commercial and/or industrial projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting, and working in the field as part of a collaborative team. What This Role Does Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including data, voice, security, access control, and surveillance Run, label, and dress CAT5e/CAT6, fiber, and other low voltage cabling per project specifications and industry standards Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings Install and mount devices such as cameras, card readers, access panels, switches, and network racks Test systems for functionality and compliance and perform necessary adjustments Document work completed and communicate project progress with supervisors and project managers Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow safety protocols and company installation standards at all times Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Basic understanding of low voltage systems and cabling practices Ability to read basic drawings and installation plans Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or lifts as needed Nice to Have Prior experience in low voltage, telecom, security systems, or structured cabling Knowledge of CAT5e/CAT6, fiber optics, access control, CCTV, or fire alarm support systems Industry certifications (BICSI, OSHA, manufacturer certifications) Experience working on commercial or industrial job sites What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for training, certifications, and career growth Stable work with a supportive team environment Tools, equipment, and PPE provided Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wauwatosa, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
