This part time physician position is for an FP or IM trained physician. Work 20 hrs/week with the possiblity of two 10hr shifts per week. It offers the opportunity to treat patients from all over the world and to see things you will never see in private practice. You will learn about different cultures, languages and diseases while treating an underserved population of detainees at an IHSC facility. The work pace is great and the difference you can make is REAL. Minimum Requirements: Permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in TX. Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved board. Maintains BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association. Minimum of one year experience as a practicing physician.
