Store ManagerFast growing luxury brand is seeking a Store Manager for their retail stores located in Gold Coast, Illinois & Montecito, California. The successful candidate is responsible for overall management of the store, staff, merchandise, and customer service. They will also be responsible for achieving sales objectives, maintaining and achieving high operational and merchandising standards and goals, building highly motivated teams and developing associates to the next level.ResponsibilitiesMaintain a clear and effective store organization (by support functions and product categories)Play a key role in team motivation by establishing a real team spirit and teamwork environmentMonthly review of staff on One-to-One basis/Evaluate individual staff performanceRetain staff by identifying and developing growth potential of individual staff membersCoach and develop the team in order to maintain the highest degree of customer serviceProvide monthly qualitative and quantitative business reportsMaintain positive relationship with members of corporate office, regional office and other storesFull Profit and Loss responsibility for the store, with particular attention given to controllable expenses and sales planMaintain stock levels and merchandise assortmentOnce financial goals are agreed upon with the general manager, each store manager must maintain proper SKU levels, dollar levels and model stocks using current P.O.S. systemAdhere to Grooming and Styling standards, lead by example and enforce the standards within the entire teamMonitor the general appearance of the store: cleanliness, store maintenance, organization of sales area and back-of-houseCreate staff work schedules and ensure appropriate store coverage Manage planning of paid holidays, absences and report accordinglyContinuously motivate sales staff and ensure principles & customer service are followedDrive sales to meet or exceed sales budgets Identify opportunities to and assist sales associates in fortifying client relationships through clienteleFollow on a day-to-day basis the sales performance of the store Set individual monthly objectives for each member of the teamFollow up on the sales performance of the sales associates Understand and explain store performance by categoryKeep all product support tools well organized and ensure all team members have access to the informationMaintain merchandising standards in partnership with the Visual MerchandiserSupervise store personnel and enforce company policiesEnsure timely submission of timesheets, verification of employee hours, etc.Recruit, assess, & interview talent and partner with Regional & HR when neededExhibit strong interpersonal skills in dealing with staff, peers, supervisors, and the other retail officesQualificationsExperience in retail sales; women's upper contemporary, multi-label, or luxury designer preferred.Must have management experience in luxury apparel or accessories.Driven and motivated personality.Effective verbal and written communication.Love for helping clients & others.Passion for fashion, styling, and outfitting.Knowledge of current fashion trends.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and learn new procedures.Ability to work a flexible schedule based on store needs, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays. Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are required.Must be able to lift and move heavy objects (20 pounds or more) from time to time as required.
