This hands-on position is responsible for the design, drafting, andengineering calculations of pressure vessels and aboveground storage tanks in accordance withASME, API, AWWA, and NFPA codes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technicalexpertise, practical understanding of fabrication, and a commitment to engineering excellence.Key Responsibilities: • Perform and review detailed engineering calculations for pressure vessels andaboveground storage tanks.• Develop design drawings, 3D models, and fabrication packages using AutoCAD andInventor.• Prepare and review fabrication and assembly procedures to ensure compliance withapplicable codes and customer specifications.• Serve as a technical resource to engineers, drafters, and fabrication teams—providingguidance, mentoring, and problem-solving support.• Interface with clients, inspectors, and vendors to ensure technical accuracy and codecompliance.• Support fabrication and field crews with design clarifications and troubleshooting.• Maintain current knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and best practices.Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (required).• Professional Engineer (PE) license. • 5+ years of hands-on experience in pressure vessel and/or aboveground storage tankdesign.• Strong working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API 650/653/620, AWWA D100, andNFPA standards.• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and MathCAD (or equivalent engineering software).• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Preferred Attributes: • Experience with 3D CAD workflows, TechnoSoft and parametric design tools.• Familiarity with fabrication processes, materials, and shop operations.• Strong attention to detail and dedication to producing accurate, code-compliant designs.If you meet the above qualifications and would like to apply for this position, please click APPLY NOW and upload your most current resume or you may email your resume to our recruiter, Christine Hannon at Please include Vessel on the subject line of any e-mail correspondence.
