The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing blueprints, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project viability and profitability.Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs- Conduct quantity takeoffs from blueprints and specifications to determine precise material requirementsAnalyze project documents, including plans, specifications, and site conditionsCollaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimatesPrepare and submit pre-bid packages, including estimates, budgets, and schedulesAssist in the preparation of bid proposals and participate in the construction bidding processPerform value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising qualitySupport the procurement team in negotiating prices with suppliers and subcontractorsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing structures, and industry standardsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimatingProficiency in construction estimating software, MS Office suite, and blueprint readingStrong mathematical and analytical skillsExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precisionKnowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulationsInterested in hearing more?
