Journeyman Plumber

We are seeking one skilled and experienced Service Journeyman Plumber and one Installer Journeyman Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be personable, great with customers, and possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, construction practices, and related mechanical skills. This role involves good communication/ relationship skills, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical expertise and precision.DutiesInstall, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in new construction and existing structuresRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise installationsUtilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to complete tasks efficientlyPerform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issuesCollaborate with construction teams to ensure proper assembly of plumbing components within building frameworksConduct inspections to identify potential issues using schematics and technical documentationEnsure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standardsAssist in training apprentices or less experienced team members as neededRequirementsValid Journeyperson Plumbing license or certification an assetComp CardsProven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance within construction environmentsStrong mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, carpentry, welding, and general maintenance skillsProficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsAbility to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and perform heavy lifting safelyBasic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installation tasksKnowledge of construction practices including assembly and use of schematics for system layoutExcellent problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to work independently or as part of a team in diverse project settingsThis position is integral to ensuring the functionality and safety of plumbing systems across our projects.
