Pem Setter Brake Op

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR TASKS: Set-up and operate pem-setter, press brake, manual machines, hand brake press, and other machines as necessary Finish sheet metal products by sanding or deburring the material Read blueprints, orders, and other manufacturing documentation for each product and makes product accordingly Perform stock welding on product as needed Select the appropriate program on each machine according to the blueprint and order Work in a manner in which safety and quality are of the upmost importance Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Continuous lifting of parts and channels under 35 pounds Continuous carrying of parts and tools under 10 pounds Continuous 1-foot action while working on the Brake, Pem-setter, Spot Welder and Apex Constant standing on concrete floors Continuous use of near vision and frequent use of depth perception while working on machines, reading blue prints and working with sanding belts Frequent carrying of tools 11-35 pounds and lifting of items up to 75 pounds Frequent pushing and pulling of carts and sanders Frequent walking, climbing on a step-stool and bending/stooping while moving material Frequent twisting while sanding Frequent reading and writing with orders and blueprints Frequent fine finger movements and handling with continuous gripping of back plates, screws and tools Occasional reaching above shoulder for the brake and frequent reaching below shoulder to gather parts Occasional use of spatial and form perception as well as feeling with sanded parts Work environment is inside a manufacturing facility with seasonal temperature fluctuations, frequent manufacturing noise, dust, hazardous machinery and moving objects such as forklift traffic. Work is completed independently but in a group setting to meet strict deadlines. Personal Protective Equipment required for this position includes: safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves and hearing protection.
