SummaryJob DescriptionPosition is responsible for the on-going provision of education, training, SMRS University, and learning to Social Model Recovery Systems employees and on occasion to community-based organizations and providers.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesIdentify internal training and technical assistance needs by routinely conducting needs assessments with Program Directors and Senior Management. Facilitate and manage the ongoing onboarding of new staff. Establish an annual calendar of SAPC, CARF, and other required trainings along with other trainings identified from ongoing needs assessments. Develop, conduct, and coordinate trainings and presentations based on the needs of SMRS and/or individual programs. Maintain current CE Provider status with appropriate organizations such as (CAADE/ACCBC, CCAPP, CADTP, BRN, and NASW). Coordinate with other Agency personnel to assist with the achievement of the Agency’s mission and strategic plan. Serve on various Agency committees and/or task forces as required. Represent SMRS in the community by attending and/or presenting at professional conferences, speaking engagements, and events. Attend staff meetings as required. Uphold all Agency policies and procedures. Perform all other duties as assigned. QualificationsThe qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the above listed duties and responsibilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Education And ExperienceMaster’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Addictions, or related field and at least five years of experience in teaching, education, and training of professionals in the mental health/substance use disorder fields. Clinical knowledge and experience is desired as well as subject matter expertise in the content of the trainings to be provided. Must show evidence of experience in the design of quality presentations and training materials. Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and other products or other comparable presentation software.
